Sometimes even the best films pass us by, here’s three great comedies you might have missed…
”What’s happening? We need to talk about your TPS reports.”
Office Space is tale of office workers who hate their job and they decide to rebel against their boss.
One of the most underrated comedies of the 90’s, Office Space is the perfect satire of the office, released two years before Ricky Gervais’ sitcom The Office the film struggled to find an audience after the sitcom became a hit.
Why should you watch this? Ever wanted to see someone kick seven kinds of shit out of a printer… to rap music? Mark that off your bucket list.
”Yeah, that’s my per diem, and who do I give it to?”
Written and directed by Jon Favreau (Elf , Iron Man), Starring Favreau and Vince Vaughn (Old School, Dodgeball) as two wannabe boxers who get involved with a money laundering scheme with a low level organized crime outfit.
Made passed most people by as got a limited release outside of the US.
The film features the hilarious Peter Falk (Columbo) and Sean ‘Puffy’ Coombs. Vaughn steals the show with his crazy antics as Ricky.
Why should you watch this? It’s pretty fun seeing Vaughn get ripped a new one by Columbo.
3) Waiting… (2005)
”The difference between ordinary and extraordinary, is that little extra.”
Starring Ryan Reynolds (Adventureland, Green Lantern), Anna Farris (Scary Movie, Observe and Report) and Justin Long (Dodgeball, Going The Distance) the film tells the story of the employees of a Shenaniganz restaurant who spend their days fighting off boredom and adulthood.
Director Rob McKittrick wrote the screenplay while working as a waiter, probably best to avoid where he used to work by the looks of it…
Why should you watch this? The Goat, then you’ll know what the Goat is… *Shudders*
