  • The first scene she shot for Quantum of Solace was the love scene with Daniel Craig.
  • Was in consideration for the role of Natasha Rushman/Black Widow in Iron Man 2 after Emily Blunt dropped out of the project, but Scarlett Johansson was cast instead.
  • A lifelong fan of karaoke, Gemma once worked as a singer in a south London ‘gangster bar’ where she was frequently instructed to sing “My Heart Will Go On” whenever things got out of hand with the rowdy patrons.
  • Was born with an extra finger on each hand, a benign condition known as polydactyly, and had the extra digits removed as an infant. The scars from the surgery are virtually unnoticeable today.
  • Was in consideration for the role of Selina Kyle/Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, but Anne Hathaway was cast instead.

    Great post! I’ve grown to like Gemma quite a bit and I think she has a great career ahead of her. I loved Byzantium and of course she rocked in Alice Creed. A very intense performance.
