The Office has been going since 2005 and it’s had its fair share of guest directors, some from the cast like Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Ed Helms & Rainn Wilson and some that you might not expect…
Here’s a pretty obvious one but Stephen Merchant directed the episode Customer Survey in 2008.
Walter White himself, Bryan Cranston got in on the action in 2012 with the episode ‘Work Bus’.
Marc Webb, director of (500) Days Of Summer and The Amazing Spider-Man took the reins for the episode ‘Manager and Salesman’ in 2010.
Groundhog Day director Harold Ramis moseyed into ‘Dunder Mifflin’ with 4 episode between 2006 – 2010.
Juno director double-dipped into Scranton with the episodes – ‘Frame Toby’ (2008) & ‘Local Ad’ (2007)
Iron Man & Swingers director “Was so money” when he sat in the directors chair in 2013 for the episode ‘Moving on’.
J. J. Abrams, show-runner of Lost and director of Star Trek became the captain of the Office for the episode Cocktails (2007). -There was a distinct lack of lens flair…
Before Joss Wheadon directed the 3rd highest grossing film of all time (Marvels The Avengers) he took the helm for two episodes- – Branch Wars (2007) & Business School (2007)
Here’s to many, many more seasons of the office!
